The firm originally shared
its office with the management of The Howick
and Pakuranga Times before
David purchased a unit in Fencible Chambers
at the corner of Fencible Drive and Moore
Street, where the firm continues to be based.
Galbraiths has since had to expand it's Fencible
Drive premises and these modern offices offer
our clients easy parking with direct street
access.
David’s
son Richard Galbraith joined David in practice
in 1994. Richard had previously worked at two larger CBD law firms before
joining David in Howick.
Richard
took over sole ownership of Galbraiths from
David on 1 October 2002. The firm grew
rapidly, establishing a reputation as the
leading law firm in the area. Richard developed
New Zealand’s first partial online conveyancing
service through his company KeyTrack
New Zealand Limited (see
www.keytrack.co.nz ) and in March
2006 sold the practice to existing employees
Michael Taylor and Stephen Munro. Richard
and David Galbraith continue to assist as
consultants to the firm, with Richard now
focussing mainly on the administration and
development of KeyTrack®.
Galbraiths has
developed primarily in the property area,
with the legal team acting for a number of
property developers. The firm can now assist clients
with all other legal matters, including commercial
and civil litigation, court work, family and empoyment law, wills and
estate planning and advice regarding setting
up a family trust.
The
Galbraiths team comprises four lawyers
and two registered legal executives, who are
assisted by the firms’ qualified accountant.
They are all motivated to do the best for
their clients and enjoy working in a progressive
law practice.
